Mezzaluna Lebanese Restaurant

Authentic deco, belly dancing on Friday & Saturday and charming friendly staff, a visit to Mezza Luna will be a memorable one. the first thing that grabs me is the great care has being taken over the look and feel of the place I have not seen anything like it.
The walls and ceiling are adorned by a series of hand-carved plaster carving depicting Lebanese scenes giving the place a totally unique but welcoming feel.
The food best being described as Lebanese-influenced dishes, I was told by the manager David the recipes handed down from one generation to the next the cold and hot mezzes own signature dishes, there is also a wide selection of vegetarian dishes love....love. Love it

Mezza Luna

Visted Mezza Luna for the first time this weekend for a friend's birthday, the restuarant coped fantastically with our table of 20 diners. Unlike other places we have visted previously the quality of the food did not suffer with the large number of the party. All of the diners enjoyed their meals... which was mainly variations of grilled meats served with salad and rice, sounds uninteresting but was actually very tasty and we've all said we'll go back. I would recommend booking on a weekend night as it got very busy and a number of diners were turned away. The belly dancing show was good fun with some audience participation included! The friendly staff, good food and themed decor made for a wonderful night with a relaxed party atmosphere.

Brilliant

This restaurant is brilliant, amazing food and brilliant atmosphere. we have been twice and loved the food so much we got them to cater for our wedding! All our wedding guests raved about the food which is a good sign.
Pretty good prices for a night out, £100 feed 5 of us with 2 bottles of wine and we were too stuffed to finish it all. The belly dancer on a Friday and Saturday nights makes for a very entertaining evening, the men in our party were transfixed, the women were desperately wishing we could dance like that, and the kids in the restaurant loved to join in.
Also good for those with difficult dietary requirements, my Mum is dairy and gluten intolerant and vegetarian (where possible) and still found a number of suitable dishes.
All in all highly recommended.

Superb Food

I love this place.. I really do..

The Food..

Well, what can I say.. it's DELICIOUS. I've been a few times and always start with the houmus. The flat bread you get with it is a great accompaniment to dip into the subtle flavours of the houmus. For the main I've tried both the Shish Taouk and the Lahem meshwi. The shish taouk is chargrilled chicken, vegetables and rice. Sound plain to you? It ISN'T! The chicken was sent down from the heavens and cooked to perfection! I struggle to find any chicken as succulent and juicy as this. Same goes for the Lahem Meshwi, which is a lamb dish like the shish, but using succulent, mouthwatering lamb, instead. I usually ask to split the meals so I can have the lamb AND the chicken! I have to be honest and say there is one thing I DISLIKE about the menu and that is the desserts section. Luckily, I'm usually too stuffed to even care but there's nothing on the menu that tickles my fancy. I'm sure they are authentic Lebanese desserts but they are not to my taste. I'd love to see the inclusion of some desserts like chocolate fudge cake, lemon sponge, range of icecreams etc. But I rarely have any space for dessert anyway and that doesn't take away anything from the food.

The Atmosphere..

Electric! What can I say. On a Friday & Saturday night there is a bellydancer who dances around the tables. The customers often find themselves on their feet dancing the night away. It's always a pleasure to see the CHEF get involved. The guy's got some moves, let me tell you!

The Staff..

Brilliant. Always friendly and always checking to see if you're happy with the food and have your drinks topped up.

Overall..

Put it this way, after reminiscing about the chicken and lamb, I'm going to see if there's a table for 2 tonight!

mezza luna

I really like this restaurant too. There is plenty of vegetarian food to choose from and it is all really tasty. I really like their home made lemonade too. There were 4 of us and we ordered loads of food and the bill came to 60 quid - bargain!
