Second hand and pre-loved sale
When: Saturday 28th February 2015 - 12 pm to 3 pm
Where: St Catherine's church hall, King's road, Pontcanna.
Come to our second hand sale of clothes, books, toys etc. All proceeds to Action Duchenne, a charity working to find a cure for the life-limiting condition Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) which only affects boys.
A cardiff mother is cycling 1000 miles this July from Land's End to John O'Groats in hope that a cure is found for her 14 year old son who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy(DMD). She has pledged to raise £5000 for Action Duchenne through sponsorship and other events to publicise her endeavour.
DMD is a chronic genetic condition which only affects boys. It affects all muscles in the body and most boys are in wheelchairs by the age of 12. Many boys die in early adulthood. It is a devastating condition that causes complete deterioration of the body's muscles and associated function.
There will be a range of good quality pre-loved items at this charity sale. There will also tea and coffee available with a lovely selection of cakes. So come along with your friends for a chat and a browse.
