BIGCardiff.co.uk has been set up to offer both visitors and residents a place to share their thoughts and experiences of Cardiff. The views and opinions expressed within this website are written by regular people and are therefore more likely to be unbiased. Recent developments such as Mermaid Quay and the Old Brewery Quarter have meant that a huge number of new restaurants have opened in Cardiff during the last few years. The recently opened Wales Millennium Centre offers an impressive variety of stage productions throughout the year. During August Cardiff’s civic centre plays host to the finale of the Cardiff festival, when a series of free outdoor concerts (known as the Big Weekend) take place within the civic gardens. Historic and cultural attractions include the National Museum, Cardiff Castle, Castell Coch and the Welsh Folk Museum in St Fagans.
