Roller derby Tiger Bay Brawlers vs. Leeds Rebel Roses
When: Saturday 1st August 2015 - 18.30-20.30

In their first home game since February this year the Tiger Bay Brawlers A team will take on Leeds Roller Dolls A team - the Rebel Roses - at home (Talybont) on Saturday 1 August.
These teams are no strangers to one another on track. Their first meeting in Cardiff in July 2012 saw the visitors take the win by 75 points, but it was a different story when they last met in 2013 with the Brawlers winning by over 130 points. If the trend continues this next one should belong to Leeds, but fired up from a number of near-misses the Brawlers aren’t going to take it lying down!
Leeds have had a phenomenal year, including a storming performance at Beach Brawl in Florida, June 2015. They played three games in three days and came out undefeated, at one point taking a game with a differential of 620 points! This should see the Rebel Roses climb considerable from their 173rd WFTDA ranking. Their performance in British Champs has also been nothing short of brilliant.
The Brawlers have had a rollercoaster year, winning both of their home games in February but only securing one other win across the other eight games played. They’ve finished fourth in the British Championships tier 1 table and currently sit at 89 in the WFTDA rankings. A storming first half performance against Berlin (and that overtime jam against Middlesbrough) ignited the touch paper of a firework that’s yet to fully flourish. Will sparks fly at home on 1 August?
