Home International Regatta Returns to Wales!

When: Saturday 23rd July 2016

Where: Penarth Barrage / Cardiff Bay, CF10 5BZ

ANCIENT rivalries will be rekindled on the water this summer as the Home International Regatta returns to the Welsh capital.

The Home International Regatta, which will take place July 23, will see some of the best rowers from across the UK come to compete in Cardiff. This year’s Home International Regatta will feature 400 male and female elite rowers from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales representing junior and senior squads competing at the fantastic waterside venue of Cardiff Bay.

The Home International Regatta was born in Wales with the first event being held at Llyn Padarn in North Wales. Since then, it has been held in Wales many times – most recently in 2012.

The course itself runs from the Penarth end of Barrage to finish at Mermaid Quay. The open viewing and easy access for spectators means the Home International Regatta at Cardiff Bay is one of the best for showcasing rowing.
