Best described as a working mans club. Not a criticism - more of an observation. The clientele are largely locals who are enjoying a drink after work or watching the match on the large screen. There is a beer garden out front which sees a lot of use in the summer and allows you to escape the smokey air in the bar.
If you are going to grace this pub for the first time, go between the hours of daylight when you are less likely to stand out as a 'visitor'.
Oh...and remember to take your empty glass back to the bar, you have been warned!
