This is one of three Bella Italia restaurants located in Cardiff. This restaurant is located near to Cardiff Castle in the city centre. Bella Italia is a UK-wide chain of Italian restaurants, so you know what to expect, good Italian food at reasonable prices. Students can get 20% off their food bill upon production of a valid NUS or UCAS card on selected weekdays.
I find that Bella Italia is generally very quiet, at the Brewery Quarter anyway.
It's a chain Italian restaurant, their food is mostly 3663 or similar.
I would only visit locally owned Italians, there are enough in Cardiff.
In fact, from Bella Italia there is Gio's just around the corner which I highly recommend.

What a shame!!!
My girlfreind and I visited cardiff for a couple of days, and decided to go out for a meal. I wanted to take her to a place that i remember going to when i used to live in cardiff. i always remembered having a good time here. The food was always brilliant as i remember, also was the service, the place was always full., yet still the food always arrived without a great delay, there always used to be a really happy atmosphere.
Today when we went, we were suprised to be the only customers in the place. We were greeted buy a very unpresentable wierd woman. she actuly thought she was "bella". The starter was great. fresh tomato bruschetta and nice garlic bread sticks.I couldn't wait for my burger and fries with extra bacon, cheese, mozzerella and mushrooms, which in total costed £4 plush te £8.95 for my burger.
THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. the burger was burnt the chips were black, or really dark brown anyway, like they had been fried and refried all night. I ONLY GOT ONE MUSHROOM!!!!!!! I payed £1 for one mushroom. My girlfriends pollo a la creme was, how she described it, like the sauce came from a jar and the ham came from a tin, with bit of extra veg chucked in. the wine cost £14.95 and was pretty mingin. I WONT GO HERE AGAIN. Which is such a shame cause i have alot of good memories of this place as child.
