Good Meal!
i have just come back from the Armless Dragon, i must say we had Scallops and a duck starter and then a pollok and a pork main followed by desserts. it was a amazing meal, OK the service wasnt amazing we went as a table of two, we had a nice bottle of red and a bottle of champagne... neither of which was opened at the table and neither was poured for us, but that was the only down side of the visit, they change the menu evey week, and always contempery welsh! scallops with lava bread, duck breast with pork. as starters amazing......

What's the excuse??
To celebrate both my birthday and a friends birthday i booked a table for 14 at the armless dragon. i'd eaten there before and had a fantastic meal and ranted about the quality of service and standard of food to all my friends. imagine my disappointment when (on the 22 march 2008) my friends and i turn up at 7pm (the advertised openning time and the time for which the table was booked) to find that the door is locked and only the lights above the bar are on. ok we thought, they're running a little late so we'll just pop across the road to the pub and give them a few minutes. 45 minutes, several phone calls and trips to the restaurants door later we gave up and went to a lovely mexican down the road where all concerned had a great night.
i've tried to call the restaurant (23 march) today but to no avail.
so why were they closed? why, after leaving them with my mobile number, was i not informed that they would not be open? and why can i not get a hold of them via telephone??
bankruptcy? lazyness?
whatever the reason i, nor my friends, will not be eating there again!!
