Shine Cardiff 2010

Shine is a night-time walking marathon around the streets of Cardiff. This unique event gives participants the option of completing either a half-marathon or a full-marathon, both of which are staged during the night-time.
This event is co-ordinated by Cancer Research UK and the participants choose from 12 cancer charities for which to raise funds.
The route of the half-marathon takes walkers from the Cardiff CIA down to Cardiff Bay, across the barrage to Penarth Marina, back into the city centre along the riverside embankment, out to Victoria Park and then back into the city centre via Llandaff fields and Pontcanna fields.
Walkers who continue on to do the full-marathon will then walk North as far as Whitchurch golf club, before returning to the city centre via Heath park and Roath park.
