WBC Night of Champions - International Boxing Festival

This Summer boxing fans from around the World will converge on Cardiff for the WBC Night of Champions boxing festival. This 3-day festival promises to be one of the greatest celebrations of boxing ever witnessed. Cardiff has been chosen to host the convention due to the strong history of the sport in Wales and the proportionately high number of boxing champions that have been produced here.
Day One: The first night of the festival will feature the World premiere of the film Risen, which tells the inspirational true story of Welsh boxing legend Howard Winstone.
Day Two: The second day of the festival will see the boxing stars of the future compete for supremacy as Team GB take on the Rest of the World, across all weight categories. This competition will be of particular interest given that the London Olympics are just over 2 years away and fighters will be aiming to stake their place in Team GB.
Day Three: The third and final day of the festival will feature the greatest ever gathering of WBC Champions past and present. The WBC Night of Champions awards dinner is the closest thing that boxing has to the Oscars. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on television.
